Todd Poisson’s work is distinguished by using contemporary design and construction technology to tell a building’s unique story, woven from clients’ goals and context. Todd’s work consistently demonstrates a deep understanding of these threads and a respect for end users’ experiences. His projects celebrate cutting edge technology in the service of crafted detail and place making. A Partner at BKSK Architects, Todd, has over 30 years of experience in the architecture profession. As partner in charge and lead designer, he has been responsible for the design and construction of many of BKSK Architects most architecturally and technologically ambitious projects, ranging between institutional, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use types. Recent award-winning projects include 470 Columbus, a Passive House Institute Low Energy certifiedmultifamily development, a rare new building approval within the Upper West Side Central Park HistoricDistrict of Manhattan, and the re-imagining of Tammany Hall, the reinterpretation of a storied landmarkbuilding with a contemporary glass dome in Manhattan’s Union Square. Todd’s interest in the tools ofarchitectural practice, as well as his steadfast commitment to excellence in project delivery, result in histeams being at the forefront of today’s design technologies and processes. Todd received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art,and Planning, and has enjoyed interviewing aspiring architectural students for admission in the programfor 20 years.
